The boxer had remained in the hospital while healing from his light wounds, representatives stated earlier on Monday. The Lagos state commissioner for information, Gbenga Omotoso, said in a statement on X that Joshua was judged healthy enough to continue his recovery at home.
“Joshua and his mother were at the funeral home in Lagos this afternoon to pay their final respects to his two friends who passed away as they were being readied to be sent home,” the commissioner stated.
Remembering the Victims
The victims of the crash were named as Latif Ayodele, a personal trainer, and Sina Ghami, a performance coach. It was also noted that the champion was filled with sorrow and overcome with emotion over the tragic loss of his two dear friends.”
His release from the hospital comes as the sports world offered its support for the star in the aftermath of the devastating accident.
